THE BURDEN OF THE LORD

Burdens of the Lord~Inspirational Message~5/31/11

What are the Burdens of the Lord?  The Burden, the Burden, the Burden of the Lord.  It is deep, it is real, it is righteous indignation.  It is sorrowful and it is suffering and it is painful.

But who of you are willing to take up the Burden of the Lord?  Not the many, for the many are entrenched in their own burdens, their own interests, their own complaints, rather than see what the Lord sees.  He sees all and shares with His own, but the many reject and refuse His heart's Burdens~the Burdens of the lost who are damned for all eternity, the Burdens of the truth~speaking and writing the truth, the Burden of dispensing Christ in truth, the Burden of persecution, the Burden of warning others loudly and clearly of their impending doom.

For sure, most will not hear, but still, take up the Burdens of the Lord's heart and He will smile upon you with His smile of approval.  We were made for His good pleasure and not for the pleasure of man.

Take up the Burden and you will be one with your Lord!  Trust Him for all the consequences and the persecution.  You will be hiding in Him in the heavenlies.  To be at one with Jesus Christ, you must be willing to take up and share His Burdens of great love and mercy, yes, but also to be warning others of their blindness and deafness, their own straining in life without Him, their merry-go-rounds of life.  Speak up, warn, write, live and act as though you truly are carrying the Burden of the Lord!

Isaiah 13:1-13--The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
2Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
3I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
4The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
5They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
6Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:
8And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
13Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Isaiah 30:27-30--Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
28And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
29Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
30And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
