DWELL IN FIRST LOVE

~~ 6/2015 ~~

This is an inspirational note written to me by another lover of our Lord and Savior.  My prayer is that all those who need to return to their FIRST LOVE ~ kind of love would do so and that those who are living in that FIRST LOVE ~ kind of love will remain before our beautiful Beloved and King.

"I believe the Lord knows those who desire to not only return to their first love but to DWELL THERE. Alone with the beloved Lord, waiting in worshipful anticipation of the revelation of His Presence. Ah, yes....first love, that liberating glance, that forgiveness sweet, the release to go and sin no more and the love of heaven streaming down as bright sunlight through the dark cloud.

The love that consumes the sin and ravishes our heart as our Savior hung in shameful agony that belonged to me and you.

Yes, the Lord beckons us to come, return to the height from where we once were. Once again our heart aglow with heavens love, with heavens holy Son, the risen Lamb, the great I AM....

Worthy, oh worthy Lamb of God, worthy to receive glory, honor, praise and all our adoration."

Luke 24:32--And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Let us heed the warning that our precious Jesus gave to us in the book of revelation.

~~ FOR YOUR COMPARISONS ON THIS MOST IMPORTANT WORD ~~
     Revelation 2:1-7--KJV
1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:1-7--AMP
1To the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him Who holds the seven stars [which are the messengers of the seven churches] in His right hand, Who goes about among the seven golden lampstands [which are the seven churches]:
I know your industry and activities, laborious toil and trouble, and your patient endurance, and how you cannot tolerate wicked [men] and have tested and critically appraised those who call [themselves] apostles (special messengers of Christ) and yet are not, and have found them to be impostors and liars.
I know you are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and you have not fainted or become exhausted or grown weary.
But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love].
Remember then from what heights you have fallen. Repent (change the inner man to meet God’s will) and do the works you did previously [when first you knew the Lord], or else I will visit you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you change your mind and repent.
Yet you have this [in your favor and to your credit]: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans [what they are doing as corrupters of the people], which I Myself also detest.
He who is able to hear, let him listen to and give heed to what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:1-7--the LIVING BIBLE
“Write a letter to the leader[a] of the church at Ephesus and tell him this:
“I write to inform you of a message from him who walks among the churches* and holds their leaders in his right hand.
“He says to you: I know how many good things you are doing. I have watched your hard work and your patience; I know you don’t tolerate sin among your members, and you have carefully examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but aren’t. You have found out how they lie. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting.
“Yet there is one thing wrong; you don’t love me as at first! Think about those times of your first love (how different now!) and turn back to me again and work as you did before; or else I will come and remove your candlestick from its place among the churches.
“But there is this about you that is good: You hate the deeds of the licentious Nicolaitans,[b] just as I do.
“Let this message sink into the ears of anyone who listens to what the Spirit is saying to the churches: To everyone who is victorious, I will give fruit from the Tree of Life in the Paradise of God.

Revelation 2:1-7--J.B. PHILLIPS

1-5 “Write this to the angel of the Church in Ephesus: ‘These words are spoken by the one who holds the seven stars safe in his right hand, and who walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know what you have done; I know how hard you have worked and what you have endured. I know that you will not tolerate wicked men, that you have put to the test self-styled ‘apostles’, who are nothing of the sort, and have found them to be liars. I know your powers of endurance—how you have suffered for the sake of my name and have not grown weary. But I hold this against you, that you do not love as you did at first. Remember then how far you have fallen. Repent and live as you lived at first. Otherwise, if your heart remains unchanged, I shall come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
6-7 Yet you have this to your credit, that you hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I myself detest. Let every listener hear what the Spirit says to the Churches: ‘To the victorious I will give the right to eat from the tree of life which grows in the paradise of God.’
